Almost through..

And it sucks! We only have two shows left on the tour. Tonight is Youngstown and tomorrow is pittsburgh. Both of which are definitely going to be awesome. A lot has happened since the show in mahomet.. Normal Illinois was amazing, the Michigan shows were all great only because the penguins won the Stanley cup! (sorry if anyone is a redwings fan) Carmel wasgreat as usual, thanks to everyone that came out.
A major highlight was two nights ago when we stayed at a buddies lake house. All I need to say is there were plenty of fireworks exploding. Im putting some pictures at the bottom but it doesn’t do justice to how fun the night was.
Last night was great at musica in Akron Ohio. May have been the most fun I’ve had playing yet.
Well I personally can’t wait to be back in Pittsburgh but the show tonight is going to be awesome!
Until next time.

We are in Mahomet, IL

Todays drive was quite pleasant for two reasons. First, I listened to The Ricky Gervais Show Podcast where I got to hear the ramblings of Karl Pilkington and enjoyed every minute of it. Second, I don’t know if you’ve heard, but if you text Roastburger to Arby’s (272-97), you will recieve a delicious roastburger for free with a soft drink purchase. Needless to say, we’ve lived off Arbys these last two weeks.

Last night we played with Dear Future in St. Louis at Cicero’s. The show had a great turn out, and we always love playing with a great band. Seriously! listen to Dear Future’s music… you won’t regret it.

Now we’re in Mahomet. They’ve always treated us well here, and we’re looking forward playing tonight.

Midway point

Wow. So I was totally expecting there to be more updates than this. So sorry. I guess I’m the only one who even remembers to do it anyways, oh well!
So I left off on our way to new Orleans last time. New Orleans was a lot of fun, such a cool city. We saw borubon street and came to a few conclusions that I’ll leave up to you to make on your own. The next highlight was Austin, tx. Just being in that town is fun enough. We had some tacos from a place called torchy’s. So good. Tyler was amazing as well. It’s always nice to meet people that treat us well. We can’t wait to get back there. Tupelo is always a fun place to play. Another example of very nice people in tupelo. Last night we played Memphis and couldn’t have had more fun. We spent the day at the pool and then had an amazing pizza courtesy of the hitone. The sound for the show was amazing. All around great time. I’m hoping we get to come back there soon, we met some really cool people.
Now were hanging in saint louis with the gentlemanly scholar, sir chris hilton, who took our most recent promo photos. Show tomorrow at ciceros should be fun.
Hopefully the next update comes sooner!

From the road

So we just loaded out of our show in mobile Alabama at this really cool place called the hangar (737). Everyone was so nice and we were given a free meal which is always amazing. I should also mention how awesome this kind fellow, true will, was to us the night before in Tallahassee. He really was too kind to us.
Anyways, were driving to new Orleans where our show was unfortunately cancelled. But we will be able to hang out with thomas’ dad for a while, maybe see a minor league ball game with special performance by mini kiss. Look them up. Quite the experience, I’m sure.

By the way, let’s go pens!

New Fangled Gadgets

Kaleb here. Now that I am officially the only band member without an iPhone, I figured I needed to keep up with the times in some way. (I still think my Nokia’s speed dial is fancy). Until I enter myself into the ranks of my other elitist, technologically savvy band mates, blogging with just have to do. It’s been a messy tour for me personally so far due to a run in with a rushing creek (literally) and some uncooperative Chef Boyardee, but the shows have been incredible. Columbia, SC was an absolute blast. If you haven’t heard Nick Bays before, then I would suggest you stop reading my babbling immediately and go listen to his stuff. Incredible. Thanks Jeffrey and Sarah for the amazing deer stew and hospitality. We continually are amazed by peoples kindness and I can’t wait to keep making new friends across the country.
